With reference to the announcement made by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), the Sales and Service Tax (SST) rate
will increase from 6% to 8%, effective
1st March 2024.
According to RMCD, the determination of the SST rate for all taxable services is based on the
date of the service provided.
To the above being charged at the new 8% SST rate, we suggest customers furnish payments
by 29th February 2024 at
6pm.
Please note:
-
Payments made before 1st March 2024, will be subject to the current 6% SST rate,
regardless of the service period (before or after 1st March 2024).

If payment is not received by 29th February 2024 at 6pm, you will be subject to the new 8% SST rate.
An invoice will be issued as an adjustment for the 2% SST rate increase, effective 1st March 2024.
